![]() anyway, I don't think the fan speed is fast enough to be thermal runaway. I have an SSD in there but it's a Samsung enterprise one so I wouldn't have thought that would cause it. I did have a couple of non-HP sata drives in there that I thought may cause an issue so I removed them. I was wondering if any of the drivers needed updating, as I used the VMWARE image rather than the HP one, but thought I would see if anyone else has experienced similar issues first. Has anyone else got a similar setup to compare what the fan speed of a low loaded D元80 G7 should look like. I am wondering if the upgrade to ESXi has knobbled one of the sensors and is telling it it needs more fan speed. Installing the image works fine, the drivers is copied to C:\Drivers but is not installed. The server used to be quiet as a mouse but now it is rather noisy.
